How is Letybo Performed?
It takes only a few minutes and is relatively painless. Letybo is injected with a very fine needle. We use ice prior to your treatment and this is sometimes more uncomfortable than the treatment itself! It generally takes TWO WEEKS to take full effect and it is best to avoid Aspirin or ANY blood thinners - YES ALCOHOL THINS THE BLOOD TOO at least 10 DAYS prior to treatment. This helps reduce your chance of bruising although it can still happen to anyone.

How Does It Work?
Letybo blocks signals from the nerves to the muscles. The injected muscle can no longer contract, which causes the wrinkles to relax and soften. It is most often used between the brow, forehead lines and crow’s feet (lines around the eye); however, Letybo has now been FDA Approved (JANUARY 2025) for tightening the jawline and neck area.

How Long Does a Letybo Injection Last?
The effects will last three to four months, sometimes more, sometimes less – each person is different. It is very dependent on the dosage and the strength of your muscles. One size does not fit all. The FDA has approved 20U for the area between your brow, 20U for your forehead, 12U for each eye to soften the crows feet, and 40U for the jawline/neck area. There are many variables in determining your perfect dosage and our injectors are seriously experts at ASSESSING, EDUCATING, AND INJECTING. Of course, we also take your budget into consideration as well because this is a luxury treatment and we respect that!

First Timers

It is always best to schedule a 14-day follow-up appointment to review pictures and answer any questions or concerns that might have come up for you. Your first Letybo treatment is a very exciting adventure! At this appointment, dosage will be re-evaluated and more units added (only if necessary) to achieve the best possible results for your anatomy. The great part is that we document your treatment so that if needed, you can see another injector for follow-up when the time is convenient for you. We are that confident!

As muscle action gradually returns, the lines and wrinkles begin to reappear and will need to be re-treated. The lines and wrinkles often appear less severe with repeat treatments because the muscles are being trained to relax. Training the muscles is important, so it is always best to receive Letybo on a regular schedule before all of the effects of the previous treatment wear off. Deep resting creases in the skin can only be softened and not totally eliminated, which is why proper maintenance is crucial.

What Are the Side Effects?

Temporary bruising is the most common side effect. There is also a risk of headaches, but this is transient in nature, usually resolving within 2-3 days. An extremely small percentage of patients may develop eyelid drooping or a heaviness of the brow, which are both temporary and usually resolve within weeks. To lessen any risks, an upright position should be maintained for 4 hours following the treatments, and you should refrain from baseball hats, pressure/massage, same day hair treatment, or heat (saunas, hot tubs), and no exercise until the following day. Make sure you get your workout in prior to your treatment! Also, avoid any irritating products (Retin-A or glycolic acid, etc.) for that evening. Gentle sunscreen and makeup may be applied 30 minutes afterwards.
